Air Passenger Rights

When are air passengers entitled to compensation?

Business travelers can be entitled to compensation, when a flight is delayed, cancelled or overbooked. The rules are established in EU Regulation 261/2004 which applies to all flights that depart from EU (including EEA countries), and all flights to or from EU that are operated by airlines based in EU. To be eligible for compensation, the delay must be more than 3 hours and caused by reasons within the carrier's control.

In 2019, Canada adopted a new set of rights for air passengers in the Air Passenger Protection Regulations (SOR/2019-150). This means that travelers, who experience flight disruptions on flights to, from and within Canada, are also eligible for compensation. We are happy to help with this as well.

Compensation

The compensation rates are fixed and range between €250 - €600 per passenger depending on the length of your delay and the distance of your flight.
€250

€400
When the delay is more than 3 hours, and the flight distance is 1,500 km - 3,500 km
€600
When the delay is more than 4 hours, and the flight distance is more than 3,500 km
